Chateau Ormes de Pez, Saint-Estephe 2020

Ormes de Pez 2020 is a delight with its vibrant flavors of dark berries, subtle oak, and a hint of spice. It offers a smooth texture with well-integrated tannins, making it both approachable now and... promising for aging. Critics praise its balance and depth, capturing the essence of its prestigious origins. 54% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% of each Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. 93 points Jane Anson, JaneAnson.com, February 2023 Love this wine, with its punchy stamp of St Estèphe, with powerful black fruits and fresh acidities, both enticing and appealing while extremely unfussy. The tannins are serious and a little chunky, but have plenty of character and there is appealing gunsmoke and salinity on the finish. 3.69ph, 45% new oak.
