Mendoza Valley has long been the heart of Argentina's Malbec production and Zuccardi make some of the finest Malbecs in the world, with all of their wines spending time in concrete eggs during... fermentation to soften the wines & maintain freshness. This Malbec has everything: sumptuously ripe fruit, freshness & length on the finish, with touches of tannic grip & pink pepper. The price is scandalous as this tastes at least like a £35.00 bottle one would find in Hawksmoor, Gaucho or Goodmans steak restaurants. At home it was the perfect soulmate for an autumnal BBQ, going equally well with T-Bone steak as it did tomato salads. Buy as much as you can before it disappears.
