Contino consistently makes superb Rioja. Their 2016 Reserva from an excellent vintage has wonderful soft rich brambly fruit and a gorgeous lingering finish and high praise from the critics with scores of 97 from James Sucking and 95 from Tim Aitkins.
A top flight Rioja that is as good as it gets for less than £20 a bottle is great value and has a place reserved for it in my cellar.
Delivery
For our drinking wine selection, we offer UK mainland delivery of £15 inc. VAT. For the Highlands and Islands of Scotland (*) we offer £30 inc. VAT per delivery up to 4 cases, and £40 inc. VAT per delivery for 5+ cases.
